 Who are we?

SOUND OF THE SUBURB, well-known as The Greatest Band in North West London, are a successful and popular hi-energy rock-n-roll band based in Hampstead Garden Suburb and East Finchley. The members of the band are all seasoned rockers, including bassist Steve Phillips (The Gordon Bennet), lead guitarist Chris Berlingieri (Swill Love Gods), and drummer Mike Solomon (Chispa). Lead vocals are provided by Rafael Landicho and Martin Ross handles rhythm guitar and most backing vocals.

Since our formation in 2005 we've gone on to play at numerous venues, including the Dublin Castle in Camden Town, the East Finchley Constitutional Club, the East Finchley festival each year since 2008, Maddens Ale House, The Albion (Hammersmith), and O'Neill's Muswell Hill.

What Music do we play?

SOUND OF THE SUBURB plays a large variety of music, reflecting the musical background of the members. We play a large number of covers from the 1950s to the present day, and in 2008 we started adding original songs to our playlist.

We play songs from bands as diverse as the Beatles, Bachmann-Turner Overdrive, The Vapors, Stray Cats and Golden Earring. We play in many pubs and other venues in North-West London, and also frequently receive requests to perform at private parties. Please see our contacts page if you would like to book us for your event.
